Looking to the future, I am building a sustainable creative environment and network that will allow me to focus full-time on storytelling, rooted in the North of the Netherlands. Together with cinematographer Justin Wismeijer, I founded the film production company Grainhouse, where I work with a close-knit group of Northern filmmakers to create fiction films, music films and meaningful commercial work.

Emotion is the driving force behind every project. Visual language, styling and music work together to make the experience tangible for the viewer, allowing even stories far removed from their own experiences to resonate on an emotional level. When my films encourage people to engage in more open conversations with one another, I feel the work has succeeded.

My work has received recognition through, among other things, a screening at Eurosonic, two nominations for Best Groninger Film, and second place at the 48 Hour Film Project Noord. Participating in the IFA Academy & CineNord Shortslab also helped me further develop my professional skills and understanding of film production.
